The School stages two or three full scale productions a year, including both senior and junior shows. Recent productions have offered a typically wide range of theatrical styles and material, from the exuberance of Peter Pan and Grease through to the seriousness of The Cherry Orchard and All My Sons. These shows also provide ample opportunity for more technically-minded boys to develop audio-visual and management skills as part of a full production team. All boys enjoy working with a range of directors, designers, choreographers and costumiers, and in so doing experience the richness of the creative dramatic process.

As well as the productions, the School offers an after-school Drama Club for junior boys to build performance skills in a supportive and encouraging environment. Boys in Drama Club work towards a production.

Impro Club and Theatresports

Impro Club is a group of boys who practise spontaneous improvisation in the form of Theatresports with the Drama Master on Thursdays at lunchtime. Boys work together to create narratives and stories spontaneously by making and accepting offers, learning to yield and extend ideas. These collaborative skills are transferable to all other aspects of life. Boys have opportunities to compete against each and other schools in Theatresports games, including the Theatresports Schools Challenge in Term II (Senior and Intermediate) and Term IV (Junior). Impro Club is open to all boys at different terms throughout the year. Boys do not need to compete in Theatresports to be involved in Impro Club.

Belvoir Club

The Belvoir Theatre group enables senior boys to experience a professional theatre subscription, and one-off excursions for actors and tech crew throughout the year.
