A Grammar education is transformational.
Since it was established in 1854, Grammar has remained committed to offering a regular and liberal course of education to boys from all walks of life and denominations without distinction.
A number of places in the School are made available through fee assistance every year. This is possible because of the generous donations that have been made to the scholarship fund over the years.
Fee assistance is one of our most pressing priorities.
âA Grammar education is a unique gift, and it is one we wish to make available to more boys every year.â â Stuart McPherson, Headmaster
The more funds we raise, the more places are available.

Corey Blyth (OS 2019) is just one of those students whose education at Sydney Grammar School was made possible by generous donations.
In his final year of primary school, Corey Blythâs (OS 2019) family became aware of the possibility of a place at Grammar funded through generous philanthropic support.
Corey was fully immersed in Grammar life from day one â sport, drama productions, a role as a Peer Support Leader, and academic excellence.

Upon graduation, Corey completed a double degree in law and criminology at UNSW. He worked as a paralegal for the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions while studying, and as a tipstaff in the Supreme Court of NSW after graduation. Then in November 2024, Corey was chosen to be a Rhodes Scholar and is now studying at Jesus College, Oxford. His goal is to work as a lawyer in regional NSW.
Sharon Ditmarsch, Director of Community and Economics master, knew Corey well during his time at the School.
âI am delighted to see him now as an accomplished, humble young man who is grateful to those who enabled him to realise his talent.â

We want to give more young men like Corey every opportunity to learn, grow and succeed. Please make your generous gift today.
Corey is just one scholar whose education at Sydney Grammar School was made possible by a generous donor. His success truly demonstrates the benefits of a Grammar education.
âThe Grammar community is unique in its openness and hospitability. It is characterised by people who are often extraordinarily accomplished in their fields but who, more importantly, are good and decent individuals. My family and I were welcomed so readily and are proud to still be a part of it.â â Corey Blyth (OS 2019)
