As a year of faithful service and diligent leadership comes to a close, our Prefects reflect on how the cooperation and support of the School community has helped their tenure to be a successful one.
In Term IV last year, under the experienced guidance of Mrs Wyndham, a full programme of duties, events, fundraising and other activities was planned by the Prefects. There is a carefully structured array of responsibilities which Prefects undertake. As well as doing their duty at the tuckshop, the College Street gate and road crossing, Prefects are always keen to make a contribution to the ethos of the School and engage all the boys in one way or another. They endeavour to provide a range of interesting activities and challenges as part of their legacy.

Obviously, the Prefects could not achieve much at all without the generous goodwill and support of the boys at College Street, their parents and the wider Grammar community. Successfully seeking out prizes to be donated to the Prefects’ raffle in support of their chosen charity – Movers Against Domestic Violence – is a prime example of where this generosity and support is sourced.
More particularly, the Prefects benefit enormously from the practical and essential support they receive from the Sydney Grammar School support staff. Staff in Archives, Catering, Canteen, Community, Events, Finance, Library, Maintenance, Property, Publications and Communications, Reception, Sergeants, Technical Services and Audio-Visual are all crucial in assisting the Prefects to stage their events and for this they are most grateful.
