Our Teacher Scholarship Programme is designed to provide a high-quality practical experience for final year pre-service education students in either a primary or a secondary setting at one of our three campuses. Our programme is accessible for both Bachelor and Master candidates in their final year of initial teacher education attending any New South Wales university.
We are delighted to anticipate working with our teaching scholars to develop and inspire them in the love of our profession. Our bespoke scholarship provides modelling of professional practice and reflection by experts in their fields of study and the pedagogy of those fields. Teaching Scholars will be immersed in a culture that values intellectual rigor. They will be nurtured in developing habits of mind that support commitment and success, by working with a dedicated team of mentors.
Our mentoring team has undertaken extensive training to provide the most valuable and engaging experience possible. We strongly believe that working alongside teachers in a school environment is the best way to consolidate content knowledge, develop a repertoire of classroom management strategies, enhance appropriate communication skills and build a sense of belonging within a school culture. Successful candidates will benefit from an enriching experience that reaches far beyond a typical professional placement.
