Boys who volunteer to be librarians spend two sessions per week performing a variety of activities. As they progress through the School they also progress through the Library with new tasks and responsibilities. During their first years they are involved with shelving, shelf-checking and processing. In Third and Fourth Forms they begin to help at the Circulation Desk and take on supervisory roles in this area. Senior Library Boys help to train and support the new Library Boys, and supervise the shelving and shelf checking. They also assist with the setting up of displays throughout the Library.

    Library Opening Hours

The library is open from 8:00am - 6:00pm on school days.

    Library Holiday Hours

The Library will be open for the first week of the Easter holidays. It will be closed during the second week.

Holiday opening hours are 9.00am to 3.00pm

If boys would like to work in a library when the School library is closed they might try either Sydney City Library, located in the Customs House at Circular Quay, or the State Library of NSW on Macquarie Street.
