Boys who volunteer as librarians spend two sessions per week performing a variety of activities. As they progress through the School they also progress through the Library with new tasks and responsibilities. During their first years they are involved with shelving, shelf-checking and processing. In Third and Fourth Form they help at the circulation desk and take on supervisory roles in this area. Senior librarians help to train and support the new librarians, and supervise shelving and shelf checking.
The library is open from 8:00am - 6:00pm on school days.
The Library will close on Thursday 14 December and reopen 9am to 3pm from Monday 8 January.
Boys who would like to work in a library when the School library is closed could try either Sydney City Library in Customs House at Circular Quay, the State Library of NSW on Macquarie Street, or their own local public library.
