Because nearly all our boys proceed directly to university after leaving school, the Universities Admissions Index (UAI) or the Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) are for us the best indicators of overall HSC performance in a given year. The School is not formally notified of boys' individual rankings. The figures presented here are based on information given to us informally by the candidates themselves and carefully checked against scaling statistics provided each year by the Universities Admissions Centre and the Board of Studies.

The ATAR was introduced in 2009 as a nationwide standard. Information about its composition and applications can be found on the Universities Admissions Centre website at www.uac.edu.au/undergraduate/atar.
