Sport Uniform

All sports uniforms are available from the Grammar Shop except the rowing uniform which is obtainable from the boatshed.

PE Uniform

Black and gold reversible PE singlet.
Any black shorts - no logo.
Predominantly white socks.
Non-marking training shoes.
Any Grammar cap or hat.

Summer Sport - Cricket Uniform

Training:

Shirt: SGS cricket shirt or white T-shirt with no large logo or print.

Shorts: Black SGS cricket club or other black shorts or black track pants.

Footwear: Trainers or cricket spikes.

Hat/Cap: SGS cricket cap or Greg Chappell-style white broad brimmed hat.

Socks: Predominantly white sports socks.

Games:

Shirt: SGS cricket shirt. Some boys wear one of a similar style but it must have no logo from another club and must have a collar.

Shorts: White shorts are an option for junior teams.

Trousers: Cricket Whites (any brand).

Footwear: Predominantly white trainers or cricket spikes.

Hat/Cap: SGS cricket cap or Greg Chappell-style white broad brimmed hat.

Predominantly white sports socks.

Summer Sport - Backetball Uniform

Training

Reversible PE singlet.

Black shorts.

Predominantly white sports socks - preferably with black and gold ankle hoops.

Trainers.

Games:

Black SGS mesh basketball singlet. Boys iron on their numbers when issued.

Black SGS mesh shorts.

Predominantly white sports socks - preferably with black and gold ankle hoops.

Trainers.

Summer Sport - Tennis

Training:

SGS Tennis shirt, collared shirt or a plain T-shirt.

Black or white shorts.

SGS Cap (optional)

Games:

SGS tennis shirt.

White shorts.

White socks and predominantly white tennis shoes.

SGS cap (optional).

Summer Sport - Swimming

Competition:

SGS Carnival - any swimmers. No boardshorts.

Those who are selected in the SGS Swim team are to wear Grammar swimmers issued by the Sports Master.

Swimming Cap - black with a gold "G". Issued by the Sports Master.

Pre/ Post Competition:

The following optional attire is acceptable -

SGS warm-up top.

SGS tracksuit.

SGS cap.

Summer Sport - Rowing

N.B. Rowing does not become a sport option until Term 4 of Form I.

Training:

SGSBC 'zoot suit.'

Shirt: SGSBC polo shirt and or warm-up top.

Shorts: black shorts (any)

Socks: SGS football socks.

Hat: SGSBC cap.

Racing:

SGS 'zoot suit.'

Socks: SGS football socks.

SGSBC cap.

Winter Sport - Rugby

Training:

Any rugby jersey, black shorts, rugby socks and boots.

Headgear (grey) is optional and a mouth guard is essential.

Games:

SGS rugby jersey - black and gold hoops.

Black shorts suitable for rugby.

SGS rugby socks.

Grey headgear is optional and a mouth guard is essential.

Winter Sport - Soccer

Training:

Any appropriate shirt and shorts.

Soccer boots or trainers.

Shin pads are essential.

Games:

SGS soccer shirt (new shiny style).

Black SGS soccer shorts.

SGS soccer socks.

Soccer boots.

Shin pads are essential.

SGS tracksuit may be worn during warm-up.

Winter Sport - Cross Country

Training:

PE reversible singlet , cross-country/athletics singlet or SGS warm-up top.

Black shorts or black track-pants.

Predominantly white socks. Competition:

Cross-country/athletics singlet.

Black shorts.

Predominantly white socks.

Optional:

SGS warm-up top or tracksuit.

SGS cap.

Note - runners should bring their own water bottle to training & races.

Winter Sport - Athletic

Training:

SGS tracksuit , SGS warm-up top , PE singlet or athletics singlet.

Black shorts.

Tartan track spikes or appropriate footwear and predominantly white socks.

SGS cap (optional).

Competition:

SGS athletics singlet.

SGS athletic shorts for all track competitors (not rugby shorts).

Tartan track spikes or appropriate footwear.

Predominantly white socks.

Warm-up (optional):

Grammar tracksuit.
