Scholarship Programme

PURPOSE OF THE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME

The Trustees of Sydney Grammar School have for many years regarded the provision of scholarships at the School as one of their most important responsibilities.

It is the Trustees’ conviction that boys of ability and promise from any background should be able to attend the School regardless of the financial circumstances of their parents.

The intellectual quality and social diversity of the School are considerably enhanced by the scholarship programme, resulting in a more stimulating environment for all boys. To this end, the Trustees are committed to expanding the scholarship programme over time.

Donations to the School's scholarship fund are always most welcome. A group of Old Sydneians from 1948 is currently engaged in a campaign to expand the means tested scholarship programme.

DETAILS OF SCHOLARSHIPS

1. Scholarships will be awarded annually if candidates of sufficient merit present themselves. These include:

  • Norman Cowper Scholarship
  • Leslie Herron Scholarship
  • Grainger Scholarship
  • Weigall Scholarship
  • Alastair Mackerras Scholarship

These scholarships remit 50% of fees.

For any information please contact Ms M. Bachmann on 9332 5895
